Your heavenly Father's name is YHWH, which is usually pronounced "Yahweh," as given by the Creator to Moses.  Some may pronounce it "Yehowah," with the emphasis on the last syllable.  We do not know exactly how it was pronounced by Moses, but we should worship and extol His name using the pronunciation we prefer.  It is always good to close prayer "in the name of Jesus," as we honor the Father when we honor the Son (John 5:23.)  You may want reserve your use of the name "Yahweh" in your devotional reading, such as in the Psalms, where the word "LORD" was substituted for YHWH by Hebrew scribes. Our Father has almost TWENTY proper names, all expressions of His love and mercy toward us, but the name YHWH is special.  These four letters are referred to as the "tetragrammaton" and has been found in ancient writings in BOTH hemispheres within cultures as diverse as the Hopi Indian in North America and the early culture of Judaism (dating to 700BCE.)

Jesus Christ is the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12.)  He is the Creator of all things that exist (Isa 44:24 and John 1:3), the WORD made flesh, ETERNAL (Isaiah 9:6), worthy of worship (Heb. 1:6), the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. (Rev. 1:8) He is YAHWEH, and as his Son's name attests ("Emmanuel," or "GOD WITH US") He is the ONLY Savior who can atone for our sins (Isaiah 43:11.) After Jesus rose from the dead, Mary and those with her "... saw him [and] they worshipped Him: but some doubted." (Matthew 28:17) When Thomas saw the risen Jesus, he said "My Lord and My God." (John 20:28) Believe on Jesus as your Lord and Savior and you will inherit eternal life. The Good Shepherd did not send a hired hand (John 10:11-13), He came for us Himself!

         Eternally Yours,
          Peter John
